Build towers, train your squad and hold the gate against the zombie horde.
Gate Watchers is a tower defense and survival strategy game about the last gate still standing and the people who guard it. Your base sits at the gate, the town stretches behind it, and every day the dead come down the road. Every few days they come in a swarm.
HOLD THE GATE
Build auto turrets and watch towers on the build spots, raise fences and sandbag lines across the road, then put soldiers behind them. Upgrade a wooden tower to steel. Zombies stop to claw at the barricades while your turrets and your squad fire. Repair what breaks before the next wave. If the gate falls they pour into the base, and if the HQ falls, the town is lost.
RAISE A TOWN, NOT JUST AN ARMY
Every person in the base has a name, a job and stats. Grocers earn coins, cooks keep everyone fed, and families grow when there is food and water to spare. Train townspeople into riflemen, engineers, blade fighters or militia, and watch them rank up from Private to Captain as they earn experience.
LEAD FROM THE FRONT
Your commander hits harder and lasts longer than anyone else. Take direct control of her when a fight turns, or hand command to someone else. Soldiers who fall do not stay down: they rise again as zombies, inside your own fences.
TAKE THE CITY BACK
Past the gate, the city is split into zones, each one held by a zombie nest. Send a squad out to clear it, post guards to hold it, and push the line toward the hive at the far end. The deeper you go, the bigger the nests, and the dead keep trying to take back what you captured.
SCAVENGE
Open the map and send soldiers to the supermarket, the farm, the police station, the hospital and more. Go on foot or drive the car, the humvee or the bus. They come back with food, water, gas, parts and ammo, and sometimes with survivors who join your town.
DAY AND NIGHT
Every day turns to night. Street lamps come on, soldiers switch on the flashlights on their guns, and the dead come out of the dark.
